Knight & Beard is a webcomic created by Tara Kurtzhals & Sarah Bollinger of Open Field Studio. Knight & Beard Vol. 1 contains issues 1-7 with an exclusive prologue made possible by their fully funded Kickstarter.

For thirteen years since the end of the Monster War, the world has prospered from global peace, and for thirteen years, Friendship Day has been celebrated to exalt in the worldwide connection and in the hero who helped unite them all.

This Friendship Day, the celebration is coming to Newport where Knight and Beard, two out-of-step city guards, are counting down the days to the festival. Knight, so she can finally meet her longtime hero, and Beard, so he can finally dance with the girl he loves. But along with those hopes, the holiday brings in figures from their pasts, reigniting memories better forgotten and lighting sparks to the new trials that are about to begin.
